A bit about me . . . .

I was born on the 8th August 1965 (40 years old in 2005 ! - the painting above was a present from my very talented friend Chris Bohanna), I was married to Elizabeth (Liz) on 19th May 1996 and we now have two beautifull girls, Faye and Sabrina.

I have owned many Commodore computers (in various guises) since the early 80's. Prior to this I learned my trade operating Commodore PET's in my comprehensive school ~ Buttershaw Comprehensive School ~ in Bradford, West Yorkshire. Even earlier than this I was using the schools 'remote telex terminal' and 'punch card reader terminal' in 1979 to the sounds of "Are 'friends' Electric ?" by Tubeway Army with Gary Numan - Ah yes, the good old days !!!

I attended a school reunion to chat to some old friends in 2004, pop along to see who went and how they turned out. We meet up quite often and you are most welcome to join us. So for future meetings then register with either Facebook or Freinds Reunited to be kept up to date.

As well as my other interests, I (along with friends) enjoy nothing more than dressing up and popping along to a Rocky Horror Show (usually in Bradford at the Alhambra). Go on, let your hair down and enjoy yourself !! There are two good Rocky sites, the official one is here and the other one is here.

A rather time consuming venture for me is building a semi-automated life-size working Dalek. This has been someting I have wanted to do ever since I was a child and as I have now turned forty I thought I had waited long enough - it is now or never. Here are some pictures of my current progress.

For a proper paying job I am a firefighter with the West Yorkshire Fire Service and I have been since September 1989. The fire engine pictured is a recent photo of our current appliance before I bent it ! - I never said I was a good driver :-(

What else do I have for you ? How about the glorious future for Electric Traction ? - this includes Bradfords wonderfull history of Trolleybuses and Trams - probably the most civilised forms of transport ever. I am currently going very ECO and cutting my bills, including electric, gas, petrol & diesel. I have been using my all electric Vectrix Maxi Scooter (now renamed are 'friends' electric ? ) since October 2008 and saved a small fortune in the process !

If you want to take the kids somewhere special and have a really quiet day out then take a look at Sandtoft Trolleybus Museum or Crich Tramway Museum.

I'm also installing a 12 volt system into my home which is wind & solar powered - FREE energy ! You'll be amazed just how many devices in your house only need 12 volts. Want to know more ? Pop along to my ECO page.

So, all in all, you can imagine that I am quite a busy boy trying to juggle my life, job and hugely time consuming hobbies !
